I went out of town for a couple of days and came home to a bunch of red stuff growing in my tank. What is this mess that is messing up my tank and how do I get rid of it?

It's Cyano. Grows from high levels of Phosphates and Nitrates. Reduce feeding and lighting, up the water changes.

There really is not any feeding just some algae eating inverts. I'll reduce lighting and up the water changes and see how it plays out. I appreciate the feedback.
