How to get off corals off fra plugs or live rocks?

If the frag is new, a little force will break the glue from the plug. If the coral is encrusted on the plug, you can cut any pieces of the plug that is exposed and then glue the plug to the rock. Eventually the coral will encrust over the plug and the rock making it look natural.

For Acroporas, If you have to take them off a rock, just break the base. This normally does not bother the coral that much.

Depends on what type of coral.

Yeah, for softies its easy, they are also resilient. I have accidentally ripped my kenya tree in half and both halves grew great.. you can cut softies off with something sharp.. for some sps like my turbinara (spelling?) I also broke off a piece that sat face down for a couple weeks and it is also now thriving. I really need to be more careful lol.

sharp razor blade for zoa's just run it straight across the base of the plug

wire cutters work good on a lot of lps just be careful

sps razor or cutters pending on type of sps

Wire cutter for lps and sps..razor for softies some I just lef it on the plug and maybe they would grow over it
