Hey Guys and Gals,
I have been lurking since Jan 2013, so I thought I would post my first update. This is my JBJ that I started in Jan.
JBJ nano-cube DX 12 gallon (LED lights).
Specific gravity 1.026
Temp 76 Fahrenheit
nitrates/nitrites/etc 0 or very close to zero (change water every two weeks)
4 inch live sand bed
I have one clown fish (I know, small tank. but he is healthy)
one watchman goby
one pistol shrimp
one chocolate chip favia
one frog spawn
one orange plate coral
one bunch of button polyps
one candy cane coral
photosynthetic fan (purple).
everything is doing good. Had a mishap early on when temp got to 92 fahrenheit. Interestingly, the favia didn't seem to mind much.

Oops...

Oh ya.
Set up refugium in the first and second back compartments.
First compartment has Chaeto in it.
Second has rock. Not live yet, I got it a couple of weeks ago while dry. I rinsed it off and put it it. You can see I had an LED light shining through the back.
Sorry for the upside down pics! NEEWWBIEEEEEEEEE.
