Does anyone know much about this light?

Would it be ok for my 29 gallon bio cube?

My concern would be the metal halide heating up my water to much.

I would love to start getting some SPS corals for tank, I feel I am ready and my tank is established enough.

Any ideas?

*mistake in the title, it's 150W.. I hit an extra 1 by mistake*

I have seen it used on that tank several times and in fact I was considering it for my 24g nano cube. I have decided to go with a custom built LED system instead.

I think it would work fine. Be aware of possible temp increase. I too went with a led upgrade and kept my stock hood and look.

I'm running a 70w K-2 on my moms 29 right now, I think the 150w would be awesome though. It doesn't heat up the tank at all, I have a constant temp. I would imagine the 150w would just be a little hotter, the nice thing is you can pretty readily adjust the height if you get worried about it. (with plyers, the fixtures heatsink gets pretty hot) Worst case scenario you put a fan across the water surface in the summer.
