Just found out it's a type of filter feeder on the other hand I had a little worry all my rock started turning orange I found out it was diatoms there everywhere but nothing to worry about

Just done my second lot of testing
Ph is around 7.8 -8.0
Ammonia is 0.25 ppm
Nitrite is 5.0 ppm
Nitrate is 10 ppm


I was worried my ammonia was at 8.0 ppm for ages put now it's shot down !

Just catching up with your thread. It looks like your doing a great job with your cycle. It won't be long before you can get some more interesting stuff in there I'm only about 7 mths ahead of you with my build do you can see how quick it can come along.

Yes i added corals. However they were all frags (small cuttings from other people's corals) you can pick them up really cheap and they soon grow. Especially as we only have nano tanks! Mine is a 29g, 109 litres.

Get yourself a book on corals or just surf the net finding out what you like and more importantly there individual needs. It kills a bit of time while waiting for the cycle!

You should be able to get a comparable pump as far as gph. Just find out the stock gph and look up rio return pumps. i was debating putting a higher powered one in my cube so now could the chance for you to upgrade your flow if you wanted to.

They have a pump for like ANY size lol

The stock pumps in the Interpet/Kent nano are crappy! You can replace with a maxijet or newjet 1200 at the bottom and an 800 or 900 at the top. Makes an amazing difference!

Got the pump fixed and finally got 2 cleaner shrimp and 2 green crabs and a hammer coral !!
