I had a 20g reef for about 10 months before I upgraded. I had a Current Satellite PC fixture. 130 watts total. I had mostly LPS. I also housed my crocea clam in there. Here is a link for a 30" light. Here it is on sale for $128.

thanks for the link but can I get away with the 65 watt?

here is a list of some corals I would like to add
1 Starburst Green
2 Xenia
3 Colt coral
4 Button polyps
5 mushrooms

possibly plate coral or brain coral

can 65 watts do some of those?

I see by your other thread you have a 20g long tank. One 96w PC might be more suited for you tank, and still on the inexpensive side.

You're right, my bad. I was thinking a 20L was 36", not 30". There's still different options out there. I'd personally go with 2x65 so you wont have to upgrade later on if you choose to keep something that demands a little more light. I'm not saying you can keep SPS or a Crocea clam in 2x65, but almost anything else. Good luck with whatever you choose.
