OMG what did i do?

ok please refere to this thread...Ok, lets try this again... and take a look at the organisms in my last post in that thread.

they are both dead!

i have not idea what i did wrong, prams are great. they had both been doing great for weeks.

all i have done (this weekend) is add a power head, set at a low to give me a little more flow. bad move? it is one of these i know not REALLY a ph, but it is the smallest they had at the lfs.

also, although i can not get a picture i have some kind of worm (black "head" and red body) that is going just fine

help!

The algae will come and go with the presence of excess nutrients. Be glad the aiptasia is gone (it might not be) because they can spread like wild fire.
Does the "worm" live in a hole and only come out during feeding or after lights out/on? Does it have bristles, it will be hard to ID without a pic....

i just saw the worm tonight for the first time, and yes it seams to be living in a hole. if it was a land animal i would say it looks like a centipede. it has legs or bristles along the sides...

Bristle worm harmless detravore unless you rub your hand on them (they hurt like fiber glass insulation .) Dry your and and place duct tape or glue on and peel off to remove just an FYI if ever you need it . Aptasia is hard to kill it may have found a hole to stay in for now you will want to zap it if it comes back it is not a wanted thing ....especially if you want corals . I forget what the algea is but it may come back if there are any roots left ...

Nope no worries on the worm he will eat left over foods , fish poo ect .Peppermint shrimps are really hit or miss however, most will eat the small ones , make sure it is a peppermint shrimp and not a cammel shrimp wich will eat corals . Some pepperment shrimps will pick at zoas and feather dusters ....If yours doesent eat the aptasia try joes juice ...or kalk paste just remember to turn off the power heads and filters . You will want to get as many if not all the aptasia before you get corals as they carry a potent sting and will reproduce quicker than anything ...
