Trochus Snails attached?!

I started getting some nice algae on the glass of my Nano, so I went out today and purchased a clean-up crew which consists of 1 Peppermint Shrimp, 3 Bumblebee Snails and 2 trochus snails. The trochus snails are attached...and i'm not sure if this is some mating ritual, but i'll post a picture, and you can give me your input.

Its just from being scrunched in the packaging. Seen it many time.
They will separate themselves eventually.
BTW, tank looks nice. :)
 
Yup, yup, had the same thing happen with mine. I got some turbo and trochus at the same time and they were all in a big ball for quite awhile. They seemed to be in a tug of war for a bit, with one dragging a couple others around. Eventually they all detached themselves. Once in awhile they'd still play piggyback - I guess on the snail freeway, if somebody is in your way, you just climb over him...eventually.

They'll probably be separated by the time you read this. :)
