I have an innovative marine nuvo 8. The stock pump maxes out at 92gph. It's been fine so far, but it seems a little weak and it might even be slowing down a little. Any suggestions on a good upgrade pump? A lotta people recommend the cobalt mj900, but that's 230gph. Is that too much flow? What gph should I be looking for? Thanks!

And that won't blow my fish around? This is my first saltwater tank, so I really have no idea. I've had other people say to use 10gph per gallon of water.

I've never heard that rule.
You should aim for 20-30 times the tank volume per hour.
30 x 8 = 240.
