10k & actinic vs. 50/50

Just a thought as I'm upgrading my PC lighting. Any reason to go with a paired set of 10k and an actinic bulb rather than a pair of 50/50's?

with a seperate actinic and 10k, you can do a dawn/day/dusk effect by turning on the actinics before the 10k comes on.

with two 50/50s, if one bulb dies, you would still have both types of lighs until you got a replacement.

i would go with the first option myself.

I use (2) 50/50 bulbs in my tank. It allows me to do every other tube 10K instead of the actinic on one side and the 10K on the other side of the fixture. I think it looks better and gives more balanced light spread.
