Hey all, wanted to start an official thread for my 120. Tank is an oceanic. 60x18x24.

EQUIPMENT
tank
Stand
20 long sump
Quiet one 4000 return pump
2-150w heaters
Koralia 1, 1, 3, 4 plenty of flow
And a coralife 2x150 hqi with 2x96w pc. Halides are 20k Phoenix

Tank will start out as fowlr with the slow transition to reef.

Yellow tang
Hippo tang
Koran angel
Coral beauty

And sooome day I want a queen angel.

you should go bigger then the 20g because if the power goes out on that 120g the amount of water that will need to drain into the sump will be much more then the 20g can handle...you will have a huge issue on your hands if that happens.

use a 55g or at least a 30g Long.

I have a plumbing setup that if the power goes out it will drain to my floor drain. And with the style of overflow plumbing I have less than 3 gal will be lost.

Theres only 3 inches of plumbing above water. If the pump quits water will only drain below the pick-up tube

Not 3" of surface water. Lol 3" of plumbing. The overflow will be full to the grates. Then the plumbing comes up 3" above to then go to the sump.
