You are right, I do need a tripod. I do my best to steady my camera by resting my hands against the tank. Unfortunately, that only works so well.
Pictures of coral in reef tanks a with macro lense looks great. I definitely need to get one.
The pictures above are coral that are close to the front panel and my camra zoomed in all the way.

Thank you. On page 27 there is a picture of it under actinics. I don't have a picture of it under full lighting like it is in the corner of picture with the Sunset Monti. I will take one soon. When I frag a piece I will let you know.

I hope mine looks that nice when i get it. Its easily one of my favorite SPS.

Sounds like yours was definitely getting more light than mine. Although the Hawkins has the growth formation of a deep water acro, they may like moderate to high light.
