2 questions? need help

When I use Deionized water filter i get black stuff in the water is this normal? Also how long should i wait for salt to dissolve in water?

i have heard 24 hours is about right for the salt to disolve. Use a PH if you can to mix the water. If no PH, mix it up periodically really well to ensure it all disolves.
