Maybe move it to a more protected spot from the clown for a couple days and see if it rebounds...

It might not be dying, but just protecting itself... A pic of a hammer of mine right when I added it to my tank..

Can't speak from experience, but maybe... My clowns used to suck on the anemone tentacles, maybe it was doing something similar?

Its going to be hard for me to isolate it because its attached to a large rock with aquarium puddy.

Cut the top of a soda bottle up and just create some sort of barrier... Make sure to put holes in it so it can still get flow.
