What's up! I have not posted in a...while, how's everyone doing?

20 gallon long, bio wheel 350, percula, starry blenny, 6 line, fire shrimp as current livestock...

I've been debating on throwing my old cpr bak-pac skimmer on my new 20gal long.

Long story short, downsized from a 29 to a 20g long. Same inhabitants, same LR, 80%same water, new live sand.
Been running for almost2 weeks..

Do I need a skimmer? Or can I just do biweekly 25% water changes?

Ok, the reason I'm asking is I have that bak-pak skimmer but it's to loud.
My buddy game me a sea clone 100, but it looks like crap with that sponge and air line BS.

Any suggestions?
I plan on adding corals in the near future.( like gsp, hammers, brains...)ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1440566956.975115.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1440566980.208812.jpgImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1440566996.491798.jpg
Thank you...

Though such small tanks don't need a skimmer, you already have it so what can it hurt? It will help with the nutrient levels between your biweekly water changes.

No need for a skimmer. Just watch your water params, its real easy to get them back under control with water changes.

I too agree that a skimmer is not needed for that size tank. Weekly PWC`s will do fine.

I have a 90g skimmer on my 20g, but if you don't own corals and don't have powerfull lighting system, I won't add a skimmer on it...
