i have located a new lfs! clarks feed and seed. so now i will have a choice of where to get stuff instead of just petco. their stock is sooo much better too. :) ive got a few new faces from there as well as some corals.
unfortunately i also lost a couple of the old ones. :bawl: lost one of the saddlebacks who was hosting my anemone cause the larger one decided it didn't want to share any more i guess. and following the advise i got from this forum i ordered a new light fixture last friday. it should be here sometime in the middle of this week. my anemone was looking pretty bad, very bleached when i got him and my weak light just wasnt enough for him to recover. unfortunatly he didn't survive long enough. :/ and then i had to give away my chocolate chip starfish cause he'd eat my corals. he now has a new home though. so thats a bit happier news. :)

my tank, i had to redo the rocks cause i couldn't fit the protein skimmer in the tank after i got more LR.

Well that light should work. Because the light does not have individual reflectors it will produce less light. However it is only 89 so if you ever have to upgrade again your not out much.

Sweet tank I'm start my first saltwater tank today in a 29 gal what are you running for filtration

Alright would my power filter need to be a bio wheel or does that not matter?

that does not matter, in fact the bio-wheel is usually suggested to be removed anyway due to its constant long term trapping of organics, which means it will start producing nitrates on a constant basis.
