29 to A 50G

is it worth it to change from a 29 gallon to a 50 g saltwater??...
how much would a filter for a 50g go around ??

Hmmm, that would depend on the filter, and where you buy it.
I have this one on my 55G:

I have the 304, last year's model. That is the only one I have used, others will have more input and experience.

IMO you dont need a filter just LR and a skimmer

I agree with melosu. You have no need for a filter if you have proper natural filtration and a good skimmer.

Yep, skimmer is the way. You can get a Coralife 65 or 125 for that tank
