Hey guys,
I plan on snagging up a 55g on Sunday at the $ per gallon sale. It will be what my 20 is upgraded from and I am super excited.

Anyway, I am debating my filtration the tank. I'd love to sump it, but my drill broke, and I can't get a new one for a couple months because I have broken too many already, lol. So that means I can't drill holes In it.

Which leaves the option of a HOB overflow.

I'd love to hear everyone's opinions on them. I really cant afford to flood the room, as it is carpet (I know) and on the second floor. (Yes it is reinforced.)

So that is where I am completely stuck. So, overview:
Thoughts on HOB overflows
Would 600gph be good?
Most reliable ones?

Oh, I have another option though. I could run the tank Berlin method, so thoughts on that would be great too. I might add a GFO and carbon reactor if I do.

I would personally look at getting a glass company to drill the hole for you. Either that or a local reef shop will usually do it.

That would work or 800gph with a mag 7 return pump. If setup properly it won't flood. Check out melevs reef.com.
