Now starts the transformation from my 55 gallon to my new 210 gallon. I've made the mistake (not really) of buying fish that require a much larger tank than my 55. I have a lunar wrasse, a blue line snapper, a niger trigger, a sailfin tang, a one spot foxface, a snowflake eel and a blue damsel. So obviously, I have too many fish that need a larger tank. So, the project begins!

The tank is here. I just went a and picked it up today.

What do you have in mind for the tank? It's going to be quite expensive I'm sure.

Awesome! Getting a new tank is always exciting! Your fish are gonna love all that room and with that big of a tank you can add more fish. :)

Good luck with the build. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Nice! i am jealous! LOL

I kept the water test going for almost 2 weeks in my 125g but I'd say a few days should be good to see if everything holds together. :)

Well the tank was full of water when I got it. I'm just double checking to the be sure no leaks were caused from transportation. I plan to have it inside and cycling before the end of the night. I do however expect my cycle to be nearly non existent because I am using all the rock and sand from my established tank. All that I am adding is dry rock and sand so in all reality, a cycle shouldn't be present. I guess we will see if I'm right.

If there is a cycle then it's only going to be for 24 hours give or take.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I have had my stock tanks full for a week and I have rock and sand in them. I did this is preparation for this new tank to help avoid a cycle.

I was thinking about bottled bacteria to help a little but I don't know if you'd want to. I'm still experimenting with it, the only thing it does is speed up the process not really "instantly cycle"

Ya it def speeds it up. I had a week cycle using it. Not 1 month usual.

The only problem I had was using the dosage the indicated. I used the 50g bottle for my 20

This is what my 55 looks like now. Once I get my 210 up and running ill be sure to post pictures of it.

And here it is! Just waiting for it to clear up and in a couple days ill do a test to see where the parameters are at. From there ill determine if and when the fish will go in. Obviously a lot more rock is going to be needed.
