Unless you're rich enough to have professionals maintain your tank, which none of us on this forum would do even if we were rich, you are experiencing the trial by fire. Maintaining a living reef is an order of magnitude more difficult than a fish tank. But, like a garden, it becomes easier as you progress. The KISS principle works here, Keep It Simple...Stupid. A ton of live rock, good flow, pure makeup water and good lighting will allow the tank to cycle and balance itself out. (a protein skimmer is a good addition) What you do is keep up with the algae, don't over feed, do your water changes and be patient.

Also, when you clean the tank or scrape algae, remove the fine sediment filter or floss afterwards as the caught debris will simply dissolve and create food for more algae
