Acan garden

Looking to start my acan garden. Looking for info on best way to position them. I got 3 frags in the sand bed now. Is it ok to push them down in the sand?

I keep mine slightly elevated from the sandbed to keep sand off of them.

I have two three head frags on plugs and had pushed the plug under the sand and the acans weren't to happy. I raised them some and the are all fully open now. I use my baster to gently blow them off if they get sand on them

I'd show mine off, but they are deflated as I'm currently doing my weekly water change. If you want to see them just look at my build thread, UPGRADE 55 gal Build. They are all in there.

Where's the best position for acans. Wondering if I need to move them as one of them got sick and half died off. It had a jelly like stuff over it so I shook it off with a powerhead and half of it was gone leaving a white skeleton

Sounds like brown jelly disease to me. I don't know much about this one really, but positioning in the tank doesn't cause brown jelly. Long as they are in the sandbed with a low-medium flow they'll be happy. Mine got pissed off after the water change this week, but they came back. They are usually pretty hardy. I'd QT the one with brown jelly.
