I recently acquired about 40-50lbd of LR (from established tank) with about 1/4 good coraline growth. I will not be ready to put in display tank for 2-3 weeks. I have it in a Rubbermain vessel with 2 PH, heater and lighting. Is there any way to take advantage of not having anything else with it and accelorate the coraline growth. I realize that 2-3 weeks isn't much time for new growth, but just checking if there are any tricks.

I have (1) 96W 10,000K and (1) 96W 03 on them 12hrs. I wonder if I left the lights on 24/7 if that would help. There is nothing else in the tank and very little for nuisance algae to prosper.

try it what ya have to lose?? like to see what happens myself !! also scrap some the algae off the rock in the trash can will help spread it as well !!
