doe's anyone have any advice on acclimating a choc. chip star, and, or a bubble tip anenome?
thanks for any insights

I've never seen a choclate chip star catch a live fish, I have, however, seen one crawl over to an anemone, turn the anemone upside down and start eating it. Choclate chip stars are not reef safe.

As for aqcclimation...a drip acclimation of 4-6 hours is recommended for the star and I would do a 1-2 hour drip acclimation on the anemone.

so is the bubble tip safe?

Not from the starfish if they are in the same tank.

how would a star catch a fish!!! just curious

The emerald green serpent star will prop itself up on it's legs (sometimes a couple on the edge of a rock or the glass) with it's body elevated, kind of forming a cage, then when a fish swims through/under the body of the star....the starfish collapses on the fish and begins to chow down.
