whats the advantages and disadvantages of booth sources of blue light i was always impressed with actinincs and thats what i use but is 7500k better?TIA Jc

I'm sorta wondering too. I'm using a "50/50" bulb cuz I couldn't decide :)

Bulbs labeled actinic 03 should spike in the 420 nm range which is better for corals. This is supposed to simulate sunlight at about 30' depth in the ocean. The blue bulbs are (I think) around 450 nm.

Thanks Steve. That was good reading. One does have to wonder how much of what we "believe" about our lighting systems is marketing hype.
