I have a 55gal and I have 45lbs of rock in there now, Im thinking of buying 60lbs of base rock from hirocks.com

My ? is can I add this without hurting my system? Is this to much base rock?

What I want to do is take my live rock out and put base rock in and put my live rock on top, is this ok?

I only have snails and a brittle star in my tank at the moment..

IMO, no such thing as too much rock, unless your fish have no room to swim. just wash it very well, and scrub it. hirocks is very dirty/dusty

you should keep your LR wet to avoid any dieoff. maybe sumberge a small bucket, put the rock in there and pull it out wet. be careful not to drop any rocks and break the bottom of your tank!
