Adding Conch shells

How should I treat conch shells before adding them to my aquarium?

You don't really need to treat (?) them but I would suggest boiling them a few minutes to ensure there are no impurities. Also be sure they are not lackered.

Cheers

If I am unable to boil them due to their size, can I just leave them in the sun for a few hours, days?

You can also put them in a pail and pour boiling water over them. Leaving them in the sun won't really do anything. Bleach and vinegar would be too caustic and will likely leech later on.

Cheers
