I have an established tank, but I want to increase the amount of live rock in the tank.

I’m wondering about adding some dry rock. Will I need to cure dry rock first, or can I just add it to my tank after rinsing it thoroughly to get rid of any residue it may have on it?

I’ve found both opinions on other forums by doing a web search. Any thoughts?

Dry rock can easily have decaying issues whenever what might have been on it gets wet again. Depending on how much you got in there already and how much you're adding, it might not be a problem.

Just to be sure, I'd put it in some salt water in a clean bucket and test it for ammonia.
