Is it safe to add dry live rock to a existing reef tank?? I purchased from brs

Always rinse off anything before putting it into your tank. Was it live rock or macro rock? The live rock you might want to scrub at it to make sure there isn't anything that would decay once it was in the tank, but if it is macro/base rock then you just want to get the dust off of it before placing it into the system.

The site at brs said it was dry live rock "Fiji rock"

You should be able to add it.. I would rinse it good. Or if you wanted to.. Put it in a cure tank for a week or two.. Dry live rock is set out to dry so all organisms in the Rick die.. There should me no living life inside the rock. Including any bacteria.. But if you put it in a ur tank. Within a while all the essential bacteria will then reform inside the rock
