Adding sand??

Anyone have some good tips to add some sand
In an existing reef tank without creating an awful sandstorm??

use PVC pipe

Plastic cup with your hand over the opening slowly push underwater then proceed to dump! Big gulp cups work well.

make sure you rinse it first or your water will be cloudy for a few days

it is not the "sand storm" you should concern, it would be the mini cycle that created by introducing new sand to it.

Thanks added more sand down pvc chute, clouded water for hour or so... No real spike that i could detect.... Thanks..
