adding sand to sump?

Ok i want to add some sand into my sump/fuge, but can i put all at once or little at a time.(Not live)

you can put it in all at once. Make sure you rinse it really really well. Shut off your return pump and put it in. Let it settle out for a while before you turn the pump back on.

Thanks for the quick replay. For sure it's not gonna get a mini cycle right cause i dont want to lose anything.

as long as it's clean it shouldn't. Obviously keep an eye on your parameters for a few days, but I think you'll be just fine.
