my peppermint shrimp just molted. will the hermit crabs eat the shell or should i take it out. will there be any benefit of keeping it in there. tia

Leave it in there. It will dissolve.

I always leave any of the molts from my hermits or my shrimp....they will be gone in a day or two

They are supposed to be high in protein and good for the other animals to eat.
