I see a small piece of aiptasia on my LR today ( finding a whole bunch of stuff today lol) and also have a peppermint shrimp in there, will he eventually find it?

They can be picky. Some never eat any, some will only eat small ones and to complicate things there are 2 species sold as "peppermint" shrimp and only one will ever touch it. Plus misidentification of camel shrimp (which prey on coral) is common.

Best bet is manual intervention via kalk or similar IMO.
