What do you use on an acrylic tank? How do they work? Mag Float = 19.95 TigerShark $89. Is there that big of a difference?

I have a Mag Float for my 5 gallon acrylic tank. It works for most algae outbreaks but occasionally I will use a scrubbing pad made for acrylic tanks.

I would be REALLY careful with mag cleaners and acrylic tanks. stick to the smaller mag floats, which don't have as much magnetic force, and would be less likely to scratch your tank.

they make them for acrylic ! just make sure ya dont go to low and pick up some sand then ya will me in trouble :)

There is an algea free magnet called the TigerShark as well. I think I will stick to the mag float and plastic algea scrapers down low near the sand. Thanks for the replies.
