Hey all,

Below is a picture of the rock in my 29g tank, the tank is about 2 months old.

Just recently (The last couple of weeks) we have noticed quick spreading of Green, and Purpleish algie.

I assume thease are the 'good' algae's?

Is this a sign that the rock is becomming live?

Thanks,

-TheChad

It was just rock.

Aquareefer: What type of cowfish/boxfish is that in your Avatar? I saw one at the pet store the other day was 1/4", was the cutest thing, but I didn't buy it because I know some of them get over 1'..

See my photos of my base rock in your other post. Soon you wont be able to tell the difference between the LR and the base. LR does not necessarily mean covered in coralline algae. It means it is coated/covered in beneficial bacteria to breakdown Ammonia to Nitrite, Nitrite to NItrate and in the deeper recesses, Nitrate to Nitrogen.
