Algae, no i dont have any.

What is the kind of algae that is sludge like, and dark green. Some kind of slime type look.

Cyanobacteria (blue green slime algae), it comes in many different colors.

turn up your protein skimmer and pop a bag of popcorn. like rr said there are to many options. i beleve increased skimming and some ph4 remover works wonders.
