I noticed some gree algae has actually started to cover areas of coralline on one of the rocks closest to the light....

Can coralline be killed by algae growing over it?....can I rub it off the coralline with my finger?

Also....my tank has been up and running for about 6 months, with live rock covered in coralline....but I have zero growth, I add trace elements my water is great, and I have great lighting(9.6 watts per gal)....Any ideas?

what type of lighting?
Coraline IMO can grow better in less lighting the more. I know a few guys with MH and they have little to no coraline.
Never add anything to the tank unless you test the water first.
Alk and cal test kits are a must, so is nitrate.
post nembers just don't tell us water is good. Some people have a different idea on waht is good.

my calcium is at 400....

Where should alk be?....my test only shows low, medium and high....my alk is deffinatley high.

I have CF lighting, 9.6 watts per gallon.
