Ok Scotty. So ur doing 11 hrs of total light a day then. Wow I was way off then. Ppl always told me never to go above 8....maybe I'll switch things up then.

I know how u feel I fell in love with this hobby then outta love when algae got a foot hold but u can do it . U still learning so read and keep trying

Update

Good news all!

Came home from work to see that the algae is subsiding in a big way. not completely gone but about 95% of it. Barely any evidenceon it is left on the substrate. I know reviving this thread may be lame, but was pretty stoked and wanted to tell someone. I told the wife but she doesn't care. LOL

THanks for the support and replies. much appreciated.

now on to better scaping
