There is algae on my sand which makes my tank look dirty....I was wondering if it was a good idea to vacum my sand on top? Or should I just leave it alone???? Also there are two rocks that are all green with algae...should I take them out and rinse them??? Thanks a lot for any help...

If your sand is not a DSB then it would be okay to vacume a portion of the sand at any one time.
1) What are you using for a CUC?
2) what are your parameters, SG, Amonia, nitrite, nitrate, PO4?
4) how old is your setup?

I agree, you can probably keep a lot of the sand clean the natural way with some sand sifting critters.
