Algea??

I Have hard green algae growing on the walls of my tank. It will only come off of I scratch and it is a lot so I would ha e to work for hours to get it off. Also I have a lot of purple stuff all over my tank. Any suggestions?

CUC will help, try shortening your light time as well. Also check water param's, looks like you might be high in phosphates
