There should be no ammonia in a cycled tank, even uneaten food shouldn't cause a rise in ammonia. How old is the tank? Do a water change if you can and if you are using the API saltwater kit maybe invest in a better kit or get a second opinion, they are known to be inaccurate.
 
How long has the tank been set up? Did you cycle the setup? How did you do so? Can you tell us more about the tank so we can better imagine what we are dealing with to help out?
 
I just replaced everything in my filter and something I fpund in there was living worms looked like centipeeds
