Amphipods?

I have a 3 week old tank set up. It is a 20 gal, with weak lighting. I noticed today all kinds of bug like things all over the inside glass. What are these, are they good bad or just indifferent?

They are good. Describe how they look, could be copepods, amphipods, or some of both

There's a picture of an Amphipod in my gallery. Does it look anything like that?

well they are much too small to see any detail they are clear and oval about 1mm long including a smaller "tail"like structure for the lack of a better term lol. they seem to congregate on the suction cup of the thermometer. They seem to crawl on the glass, but i cannot see definate legs. I see some floaght through the water too.
