With the exception of BTA's, I would disagree on that as well. If you ever find the article I would appreciate reading it. Anemones in general will split as a response to outward stress, a last ditch effort at survival if you will. Reproduction is this manner is not always a good sign. Again except for BTA's, a majority of (hosting) anemone species reproduce sexually or through the production of "daughter" clones.
