anemone

Do anemones excrete waste? Every now an again I see a strange mucus strain floating from my anemone. The anemone itself looks healthy

Well the anemones only has one ofafice, it has to do double duty, so if the stringy material was coming from it's mouth, then it very well could have been waste. It is also possible the anemone was stressed and was producing excess slime.
