Another random thought (involving feeding)

Antine keeping fish that eat corals, and or sponges in the wild, is it possible to buy dead sponges (via homedepot or walgreens)and soak them in a vitamen supliment, then feed it to a fish?

Just curious JC

They sell real sponges? Natural bath sponges are usually processed and may contain fungicide which is not good for your tank. Anyways a dead sponge has no nutritional value. You could get dead sponges from an LFS, or looking under rocks at the seashore (at least in Florida) I guess.

Most of the sponges they sell are vegetable sponges or luffas, anyway. Best thing is to get real sponges for them to eat. Several varieties are available in frozen foods.
