another sump question

how big of a pump would i need for a 90 gal w/30 gal sump

my lfs suggests 750 gph
i'm thinking about 1100gph

what size sump 30 gal should be enough

i think but am not sure that it has t do with how much the oveflow can handle

yea what can your overflow handle is the question !! you could pump 10000 gallons back from the sump if the overflows can keep up if not you will have a mess

if you have a tube over flow with one tube id say go with a mag 9.5 or 7
if you have 2 tubes then ya could use a quite one 6000
