Anyone use Via Aqua pumps?

They seem like a quiet powerful pump. They can be had cheap if you shop around enough. The local pond supplier recommended it. I need a replacement for my Little Giant. Never heard of Via Aqua before tho. It sounds like a pumping machine! 1321 GPH at 0' for less than $100. Don't know tho, might be a piece of crap. It is a "sealess" design, no oil. Bearings are lubricated by the pumped medium. Uses the water for cooling (induction cooled) so it will heat the water.
Anyone?

I have a via aqua canister filter. the top is built with the same design as a normal pump, and it works very well+quiet. Of course, the only reason i got it was because it was on sla efor about $5!

The only problem I see so far is the amount of heat that could potentially be put into the water. It could be quite a lot with a pump this large and might be a drawback in warmer climates.
