I have a 72G bowfront aquarium that I would like to add the Aquafuge HOB refugium to. My question is, how does it mount to the back of the tank? Is the center brace of the tank going to interfere if I get the largest size (25.5")? TIA

I was looking at the 12 in model for my 28 bow. It actually measures at 13.25 in wide. Just take that into consideration when measuring for the 25.5 in. It mounts similar to an overflow. HTH

That was my point, if the whole unit overlaps with the tank and hangs on the tank, it would interfere with the center brace of the tank. I am assuming the manufacturer thought of this, but want to confirm before I purchase.

From what I have seen in pictures it uses tabs that hook over with screws instead off a lip across the unit. This being said It would likely work over the center base.

Anyone else have more experience with these?

It rest on the backl of the tank with 2 tabs and will not hit the center brace.
