Atlantic brown gorgonian?

saw it at Petco today and i was wondering if it's photosynthetic or not. it's got a purple body with brown polyps

It looks to me like it is one of the several photosynthetic gorgorians that came back into the market this year...summer if I remember correctly...from the caribbean.
Here is a link from Reefbuilders talking about the photosynthetic ones. You'll see one that looks quite similar IMO.

it looks like the first gorgonian but the polyps are not as dense or as compact.

Still looks like a photosynthetic gorgorian to me.
