how would i go about doing that? i just set up my sump and my overlow box makes me nervous, probably for no reason, but anyhow i'd like to know how i got about setting up an automatic shutoff for my powerhead if the water level in the tank gets too high. any of you guys done this? thanks
steve

your best bet is to find a float switch that can be installed in-line with the power cord for the power head. Lots of folks get good deals on them on e-bay. look for "float switch"

You can also get a pressure switch to go in the sump that will shut down the pump when it detects a drop in water pressure. Although I have never used one of these, I have read that they are more dependable than a float. Might be something to look into.
