Hi,

Will charcoal affect the addition of vitamins and calcium if used in my overflow filtration? Will the additives still be affective?

Thanks.

If you a have FOWLR tank why are you adding calcium?
What is your current Ca level and how often do you do PWCs?
In a FOWLR tank a PWC should replace everything you need.

No. Anything that is absorbed by the GAC, regarding beneficial elements, is negligible at best. Using GAC is a good habit to get into. HTH
